About Us

Out of love and concern for the health of the earth, Edibella Organic Landscapes came into being in the year 2000. Initially, our mission was to provide a singular service of creating edible and beautiful landscapes in order to bring people closer to their food. Although this is still an important principle for us, in the last several years, Edibella has broadened the scope of its services to include regular landscape maintenance and installation tasks.

Co-founder Michael Cowan is an award-winning gardener, a frequent guest speaker and horticultural educator, and a regular gardening host on CBC radio's 'On the Island'. Michael is also an ISA-certified arborist, an IIABC-certified irrigation installer and a SOUL-certified organic landscape professional. He was previously a board member of SIOPA (South Island Organic Producers Association), the BC Fruit Testers Association, and a founding member and past president of SOUL (Society for Organic Urban Land-Care).

Our well-trained employees are amazing and they do amazing work. Our staff is trained as certified arborists, master gardeners, landscape designers, and irrigation installers. We are committed to providing you with reliable, friendly and experienced staff.
