We hired Michael and his Edibella team a few years ago when we lived in Rockland.  When we moved to Fairfield to renovate an old house, we were very deliberate and excited to include Edibella as our landscaper.  Michael and Susannah worked hard to come up with a design that we liked, and that was reasonable for our location.  With a deer-proofing approach Edibella slowly transformed our mud pit into a beautiful yard that included fencing, a driveway, patios and sidewalks.  We have trees, shrubs and flowers that attract birds, fruit trees and a garden patch with irrigation and water drainage systems that allowed us to take full advantage of  the city's rebates.  They stayed on budget and on time.  Michael and his team are, without exception, professional, personable, and always pleasant to deal with.  Most of all, we are delighted with our yard.

A testimonial on a full landscape reno again, this time from the Gibbs:

‘Michael Cowan and his crew at Edibella have completed two projects for us in the last six years.

The first was a renovation project in  the back yard of a 1950’s family bungalow in Saanich. We had completed a large interior renovation that included adding some large windows overlooking our backyard, which was sadly in need of a makeover. Michael’s design included a beautiful stone retaining wall, slate pathways interspersed with creeping thyme, fruit trees, berries and year-round colour, accented with soft night lighting. We were very sad to leave the garden behind when we sold our house to move for a job opportunity two years later, however the new owner loves the garden as much as we did.

Our second project was completed in the summer of 2010. On returning to Victoria, we purchased our new home in a three unit character conversion in Fairfield. Our unit is the only one to include a garden however it was really no more than a strip of grass. Michael completely understood our desire to maximize the space we had to grow fruits and vegetables and putter in the garden while having a space to relax and entertain.  The design Michael proposed and completed for us maximizes the space available, and this past summer, even though not a banner garden year in Victoria, we enjoyed fresh picked fruit and veg and spent many hours in our outdoor living area. Our neighbours have even been caught showing visitors our new garden space! We are looking forward to seeing the garden develop over the coming years as the kiwi grows over the pergola, and the numerous fruit trees mature. The attached photos taken early in the garden’s first growing season hint at the bounty to come.’
